My Story

I’m Terri!  Founder, creator and mastermind behind The Gypsy Apothecary.

For almost 20 years, I have been exploring and experimenting with aromatherapy and botanical blends to create a natural range of products that’s truly unique to the Australian market.

All products are made using 100% quality, sustainable and ethically sourced ingredients from the very best Australian suppliers. Handmade in Brisbane with love and care, my entire product range is completely free of sulphates, parabens, silicon, preservatives, synthetic fragrances and artificial colours.

I began my Cert IV in aromatherapy several years ago before completing my Master Aromatherapists Diploma, with electives in Holistic Herbal Medicine and Aromatherapy for Pre and Post Natal Care. So you can have complete confidence that our blends are professionally created by someone who understands the science behind the passion.

In recognition of a business that puts the well-being of its customers first, Gypsy Apothecary is proudly listed on the Choose Cruelty Free List of Australia (Yay!) and has also been featured in MyCityLife.

It’s hard to believe that what started out as a simple project to find an alternative to synthetic fragranced candles and room sprays, soon morphed into a crusade to remove chemical and synthetic saturated products from my home.  There are so many products we use in our daily lives that are deemed 'natural' and claim to be good for you which have zero therapeutic benefits and have been publicly known to cause/trigger allergies in sensitive people. Even soaps, claiming to have oils and moisturisers, are simply fillers to balance out the sulphates which strip your skin of its natural oils!

My products quickly gained popularity among my family and friends and with more people interested in taking the dive into fresh, cruelty free, great smelling products without any of the hidden nasties, the Gypsy Apothecary ignited into what it is today.

And honestly, it all smells AH-MAZING!!
